Introduction

Hello! My name is Sam Bolin. Thank you for allowing me to share more about my high school career. I’m a senior at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana. I have enjoyed my high school experience! Please scroll through this web page to see a bit of what I’ve been up to outside the classroom. Thanks again!

Mission & Service

I went on my first international mission trip when I was in elementary school. That began a lifelong call to service. Since that time, my family, teams, church, and groups of awesome people have given me the opportunity to serve in a variety of ways. For example:

  • Bible Study Leadership (2011 – present)  Twitter:  @CG_Bible_Study
  • Tornado Relief  (2012)
  • Day of Caring (2013 – present)
  • CampAbility (2013 – present)
  • Appalachia Home Repair (2014 & 2015)
  • iCanBike (2015)
  • Worship Team (New Hope & Emmanuel Churches, 2015 – present)
  • Night to Shine (Tim Tebow Foundation – 2016)

My buddy Dylan and me “Postgame”!

One of the greatest privileges of serving has
been the people God has connected me to. For example, two years ago, I met a boy named Dylan at a program called iCanBike. We spent a week together, each day focused on helping him learn to ride a bike. Well… he didn’t care much for the bike riding, but we became friends for life. I am so blessed he is in my life and that I have a chance to show him the love of Christ and mentor him as he travels through life.

Learning Outside the Classroom

CENTER GROVE HIGH SCHOOL Class of 2017
I am a hands on and “small group” learner. I enjoy projects (like the one above), where I can take what I’m learning in the classroom and apply it to real life! Here are a few of my extracurricular academic activities:

  • Four-Year Delegate to Model United Nations (IUPUI & Indiana University)
  • Selected for full year 2016/2017 Senior Internship Program with Emmanuel Church, Greenwood Campus (3000+ members)
  • Awarded Student of the Month, August 2015
  • One of two freshmen to earn a spot in the 25-person Varsity Chamber Choir called “CG Singers” (consisted of in-class/after-school rehearsals and weekend competitions)
